Aishani Shah’s expertise lies in using Dancing Movement Therapy for increasing self-awareness, self-esteem and personal autonomy, managing feelings and coping with the situation and handling it in a positive manner.

She came from a big fat demanding career in a corporate. After toiling for 17 years, one day she decided to quit and pursue her passion. On looking for options, she came across this course at TISS – Chembur called “Dance Movement Therapy” (DMT) and somehow had an inner instinct that this was her calling. This course is in collaborating with Kolkata Sanved – an NGO amongst lot of other fields, specializes in rescuing and rehabilitating survivors of human trafficking.

During the course she rediscovered her true self and how important it is to be happy within you in order to spread happiness and inner happiness is the key to a Healthy and Fulfilled life.

Sharmishtha Basu

The multi-talented Sharmishtha Basu holds a strong professional qualification. She is a graded singer (for Marathi Sugam Sangeet) with All India Radio, Mumbai, a casual announcer with Vividh Bharati, Mumbai. Further she is a Sr. Diploma holder in Kathak dance from Prayag University, Allahabad. Not only this, but she is also a vocal artist (live performances & playback) and a voice trainer for Indian classical & light music.

Talking about her achievements, then Sharmishtha is a university 2nd rank holder in order of merit, in B.F.A (Vocal Classical Music). She is a “Vani” certificate holder from Akashwani, All India Radio.

Akshara has been an enthusiast of the performing arts since her childhood. She is an alumnus of AIESEC, a global student organization, and the Teach For India Fellowship, a two-year teaching and leadership programme. She is currently pursuing a diploma in Dance Movement Therapy from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
